The newly constructed tower block belonging to the New York Times Company in 8th Street, New York City, has incorporated a tinted level of solar protection for its windows, which, paradoxically, does not actually feature a window tint.

Window tinting prescribed as part of government rules for all new buildings in Pakistan

The government in Pakistan has issued new rule requiring that window tinting be applied to all new buildings wherever there is a perceived energy saving advantage in doing so. Window tinting and other energy conservation measures are all listed in the Building Energy Code of Pakistan (BECP), which has been introduced in an effort to try and divert $4 billion of the nation’s energy consumption into other more productive means. Innovative window tinting for Manchester area supermarket

A Tesco supermarket in Congleton, south of Manchester, has introduced specially tinted window film for its store frontage that acts as both a marketing tool and a means of protecting staff privacy. The well-known supermarket chain had a particular issue with a part of the front of the Congleton store currently used for staff training. It was felt that the large glass panels looking into the area in question unnecessarily intruded on the privacy of the staff inside. (more…)

One of the UKs largest serviced office companies has not only given its Coventry offices a complete overhaul using premium grade window film, it has also successfully bolstered its corporate image in the process. The offices, run by workplace leasing giant Citibase, have had their windows coated with a film that provides significant benefits for employees and visitors, including protection against both overheating and the damaging effects of the sun’s UV rays.
